Events and social media are the best ways to join the global mining community. Specifically on Twitter and Telegram, mining experts and large public communities share knowledge and the ability to easily connect with other miners.
- Join Compass's public Discord channel for customers and other miners to meet and discuss anything related to proof-of-work mining;
- Follow a curated list of the best Twitter accounts for bitcoin and other proof-of-work mining content.
You can also join a mining pool or firms public chats on Telegram and Discord (e.g., Bitmain, MicroBT, Poolin, SlushPool). Conversations do tend to focus on each company’s products and services, however.
For generalists, Reddit communities such as r/EtherMining or r/BitcoinMining maintain healthy sized communities.
Events like the Mining Disrupt Conference and the semi-annual Crypto Mining Forum (CMF) from Bitmain offer other opportunities to learn from industry leaders and connect with other miners.
