Bitmain officially launched its newest bitcoin mining ASIC at the World Digital Mining Summit in Dubai this week. Rumors of the new hardware's debut were first reported by The Block. Dubbed the Antminer S19XP, this latest generation of Antminer hardware offers a massive increase in hashrate and efficiency.
- Hashrate: 150 terahash
- Power: 3225 Watts
- Efficiency: 21.5 joules per terahash
- Pricing: $75 per terahash in Q3 2022; $70 per terahash in Q4 2022
This article summarizes the specifications of the S19XP and compares it to other top bitcoin mining ASIC models.

Stacked against the other, older ASICs in the S19 series, Bitmain's S19XP offers a massive increase in operating efficiency at 21.5 J/TH. Bitcoin ASICs from all manufacturers have become increasingly efficiency over the past six years, but the S19XP marks the largest efficiency increase of Bitmain's recent models, something that's sure to interest every professional miner.
The table below shows full hashrate, power, and efficiency specifications for all models and variations of ASICs in the S19 series. By far, the s19XP is the most powerful and efficient machine of the group.
With the S19XP, Bitmain also reclaims the market's top spot for machine hashrate. Prior to this product launch, the 112TH Whatsminer M30S++ had the highest hashrate of any Bitcoin ASIC.
The table below shows the top 15 ASICs ranked by hashrate from Bitmain, MicroBT, and Canaan.
Shipping and delivery of the new machines won't start until July 2022. But this week's announcement marks a milestone in bitcoin mining's recovery from the hashrate crash following China's ban. Not only is hashrate surging as miners relocate and power on their machines, but that growth should continue exponentially with the addition of a massively powerful and efficient 150TH ASIC, the S19XP from Bitmain.
